Terms of service

The service

TakeSlot is a marketplace. Studios list leftover spots for group classes and treatments; you can book them at the price shown. TakeSlot is not the studio and does not provide the class or treatment. Your contract for the session is with the studio. TakeSlot provides the booking and payment layer, on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18. Keep your login to yourself. You can sign in with phone, email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google. If you use Apple or Google, their own terms also apply to that sign-in; Apple and Google are not part of TakeSlot and are not responsible for the service. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at hello@takeslot.app if you think someone else has it.

Bookings

A booking is confirmed only after we take payment and the spot is still free. If the class sells out while you pay, we refund you and nothing is booked. Each listing shows the studio, time, place, price and cancellation rule before you pay. Studios set when a spot becomes bookable on TakeSlot.

Payments

Prices are in Polish zloty unless we say otherwise. You pay TakeSlot at checkout (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay via Stripe). TakeSlot collects a platform fee from the studio; the price you see is the price you pay. We may send a receipt or booking confirmation by email or in the app.

Cancellations and refunds

Last-minute spots are time-specific leisure services. Once a booking is confirmed, you cannot cancel it for a refund. The EU 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to this kind of booking.

If the studio cancels the class, we refund you. If payment succeeds but no spot is left, we refund you. Deleting your account does not refund paid bookings.

Studios

Studios on TakeSlot are independent businesses. They set class content, instructors, house rules and (within our last-minute model) price. We are not responsible for the quality of a class or treatment, or for what happens at the venue. Complaints about the session should go to the studio. Write to us if the booking or payment is wrong.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no fake accounts, no scraping, no interfering with other people's bookings, no unlawful or harmful content. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Intellectual property

TakeSlot, the app, the website and our trademarks belong to us. Studio names, photos and class descriptions belong to the studios or their licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the app and website to book spots.

Liability

We run the marketplace with reasonable care. We do not promise that a particular class will be listed, that the app will always be up, or that a studio will meet your expectations. To the extent Polish consumer law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or our own fraud.

Closing your account

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Sign out or delete account), on the website (Settings → Account), or by emailing hello@takeslot.app. We may close accounts that break these terms or that we cannot keep safely.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change matters, we will post it here and, where required, notify you before it takes effect. Using TakeSlot after the update means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence. Disputes can be brought before the competent courts in Poland, or wherever the law gives you another forum. Contact: hello@takeslot.app, https://takeslot.app.
